Children's Ministry
“Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall because it had its foundation on the rock.” -Matthew 7:24-25
The purpose of the children’s ministry is to build age appropriate spiritual foundations for all children.
At FBC Ada, we love children. We also understand that school-age children are becoming independent thinkers. Our goal in the children’s ministry is to assist families in guiding children to begin building their own foundations…on the solid rock of Christ, foundations that will remain in their hearts for all of eternity.
Weekly Activities
Sunday:
9:00 am – Morning Bible Study
10:30am – Children’s Church (will be dismissed from the corporate worship service). The 1st-4th grade and 5th-6th graders will have their own services upstairs. During this time adult leaders will lead the children in music, prayer, Bible study, games, and skits.
Wednesday:
5:45-6:30 – Children’s Choir
6:30-7:30 – Wednesday Knights (ages 3 years – 6th grade)
The four areas focused on during Wednesday Knights are Bible Study, The Church, Food Pantry, and Missions. Each Wednesday night, the children will rotate through one of these four stations, completing all four each month.
Preschool Ministry
“Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.” -Proverbs 22:6
The purpose of the preschool ministry is to build age appropriate spiritual foundations for all children.
At FBC, Ada, we love young children. We fully understand that the first few years are the most formative years. It is our goal to lay foundations in the hearts of our young children about the truths of God and His Word that will stay with them not only throughout this lifetime, but for all of eternity.
Weekly Activities:
Sunday:
9:00 am – Morning Bible Study – classes based on ages of children learn the truths of God’s Work
10:30 am – Wee Worship – Childcare provided by church volunteers to care for worship attendee’s children ages kindergarten and younger.
Wednesday:
5:45-6:30 – Preschool Choir
6:30-7:30 – Wednesday Knights (ages 3 years – 6th grade; not to worry, they are not all together). Wednesday Knights focuses on four areas: Bible Study, The Church, Food Pantry, and Missions. Each Wednesday night, the children will rotate through on eof these four stations, completing all four each month.
